Guesthouse Vs. Bed and
Breakfast Definitions
With the Bed & Breakfast experience the
emphasis is on the experience. Accommodations advertised as bed and breakfast
traditionally have the owner living in the house and providing a sit-down
breakfast.
As the demand for B&Bs has grown, the
lodgings have shifted to Guesthouses which are becoming more and more common.
Guesthouse accommodations may or may not include a Continental Breakfast, full
kitchen, or other amenities. Also, please remember you are not staying in a
hotel with room service, maids or repairmen on duty. Also keep in mind that most
reservations are for weekends and holidays when the managers, owners, and repair
services are typically unavailable. Should a failure occur in the utilities,
television, V.C.R., etc. your fee will not be refunded.
